CALCULATE SUCCESS
Bringing STEM tools to ALL
ABOUT
Here at Calculate Success, we are driven by a single goal; to ensure all students have an equal opportunity to pursue an education in STEM fields. For years the TI graphing calculators have been the gold standard in high school and middle school advanced science and mathematics classes. Unfortunately, the price of these places them out of reach for many students. Our goal is to remove that barrier for those who might otherwise miss out on that opportunity.
ACTIVITIES
Bringing Change
SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP
Supporting our educators on the front line.
Our organization works directly with schools on a 1-on-1 basis to assess their specific needs and how to best help them meet the needs of their students. We work with them to identify those students in need and how best to manage distribution of these calculators. There is no one size fits all approach. We want to make sure each school has their unique needs met.
DONATIONS
Helping Drive Student Success
Help us, help them. We need graphing calculators. And LOTS of them. Most of us used these in our own high school and college classes, but after graduation put them in a draw never to use them again. Your calculator donations go directly into the hands of students who need them.
We are working on the process for setting up monetary donations, look for this in the near future.
We can't do this alone. So contact us to see how you can help.
CALCULATOR MODELS
We need the following Texas Instruments graphing calculator models:
TI-73 Explorer
TI-83 & TI-83 Plus
TI-84 CE & TI-84 Plus
TI-89 & TI-89 Plus
TI-Nspire CX (all models)
MEETING OUR GOALS
At the launch of Calculate Success we set a simple and small goal of being able to provide 20 calculators to students this year. As of March 11th we have recieved 13 donated calculators (10 new and 3 used). Check out our social media accounts for more about our donors. Will you be next?
